We are currently evaluating our rental program for late 2018 and early 2019. Instead of "hitch and go", our new approach to renting will be "drive and stay" where the trailers are located at hosted sites like wineries and national/state parks. Stay tuned as we look into this concept and announce the locations of the first few hosted sites to accommodate your adventures. If you would like us to contact you directly, please email us at

We have a three-night minimum on all rentals.

If the dates you want to rent are not available, please contact us and we'll add you to the wait list.

Renter Testimonials

"Our family had a great time on our camping trip, thanks to our Homegrown Trailer rental, which kept us warm and dry when the rain was pouring. There was enough space for us and our toddler son, and was the perfect vehicle to make camping easy with a young child."

Porter B. - Seattle, WA

"I wouldn't typically opt for a trailer, but this one won me over, as it perfectly bridges the gap between camping and comfort... all the while staying green! Love the 100% solar power which allows you freedom from plugging in at RV parks and the composting toilet that is so much better than those nasty chemical ones in other trailers. I would absolutely recommend Homegrown Trailers to couples, small families, or small group of friends."

Kaylin E. - Seattle, WA

"A few weeks ago, we took this trailer camping. It was great! First, it's very cool to look at—we had about six people stop us and ask about it. It's also extremely functional—it seemed like a lot of thought went into the design and user experience. It was overall a really comfortable experience. Highly recommended!"

John H. - Portland, OR

"Homegrown Trailers are stylish, cozy, sustainable, and fun trailers to pull. Two thumbs way up!"

Dan S. - Lake Stevens, WA

"These are the only trailers I've ever considered. They are beautiful, spacious, and super easy to tow. Everything is laid out intuitively to make it feel super roomy. Perfect for a weekend getaway.

David S. - Puyallup, WA

Night Rental:

Do you have the right vehicle?

Our Woodland trailers are lighter than many others in its class, however, you'll still need the right tow vehicle. We recommend that your vehicle can tow 2,700-3,500 lbs depending on how full you pack it with food, water, clothes, and gear. Many small SUV/crossovers fit the bill, including (but not limited to) those below. Make sure that you have at least a Class II receiver hitch with 2" trailer ball that is ideally about 19" off the ground at its top (16-24" works) as well as a functioning 4-pin wire connector.

Some of you have vehicles that are capable of towing our trailers or can borrow one from a friend or family member during your trip. However, if you need to rent a vehicle, here are a few options. Check the individual sites below for availability and pricing (FYI, quotes often depend on estimated miles traveled).

Enterprise Truck Rentals - They give our customers a special pickup truck rental rate of $75/day or $385/week with no towing or mileage charges. There are three Puget Sound locations, Seattle (SoDo), Kent/Tukwila, and Tacoma/Fife, although on a case-by-case basis they may deliver a truck to a nearby Kirkland, WA Enterprise Rent-a-Car location.

U-Haul - There are numerous corporate and franchise locations around the Puget Sound area, including in Kirkland.

We have partnered with tow hitch installer Rack N Road to give our customers a 20% discount on all towing related products such as hitches, wiring, ball mount, and balls. You'll want a Class II receiver with a 2" ball hitch that's about 16" off the ground, and a 4-pin wire connector. Please tell them that Homegrown Trailers sent you to receive your discount. They have two Puget Sound locations:

    7918 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103, (206) 528-8090

    11635 NE 8th St, Bellevue, WA 98005, (425) 957-7225
