DO YOU HAVE THE RIGHT VEHICLE?
Our trailer is lighter than many others in its class, however, you'll still need the right vehicle to tow our 2,200 lbs trailers. We actually recommend you have a vehicle that can tow 2,500-2,700 lbs. once you load it full of water, food, clothes, and other gear. Many small SUV/crossovers fit the bill, including (but not limited to) these:
Acura MDX V6
Buick Enclave V6
Ford Edge V6 & Escape
Honda Odyssey & Pilot V6
Hyundai Santa Fe V6
Jeep Grand Cherokee
Land Rover LR2/4
Lexus 350 V6
Mazda CX9 V6
Mitsubishi Outlander V6
Nissan Murano V6
Nissan Xterra V6
Subaru Outback V6
Toyota 4Runner V6
Toyota Highlander V6
RENTING TOW VEHICLES
Some of you have vehicles that are capable of towing our trailers or can borrow one from a friend or family member during your trip. However, if you need to rent a vehicle, here are a few options. Check the individual sites for availability and pricing (FYI, quotes often depend on estimated miles to be traveled).
Enterprise Truck Rentals - There are three Puget Sound locations: Seattle (SoDo), Kent/Tukwila, and Tacoma/Fife.
U-Haul - There are numerous corporate and franchise locations around the Puget Sound area.
Del's Truck Rentals - This is a good local option in Woodinville.
NEED A TOW HITCH FOR YOUR VEHICLE?
You'll need a Class II receiver with a 2" ball hitch that's about 16" off the ground and a 4-pin wire connector.
We have partnered with tow hitch installer Rack N Road to give our customers a 20% discount on all towing related products such as hitches, wiring, ball mount, and balls. Please tell them that Homegrown Trailers sent you to receive your discount. They have two Puget Sound locations:

11635 NE 8th St, Bellevue, WA 98005, (425) 957-7225
